  • Milford police on Friday arrested a 37-year-old former Dover resident accused of shoplifting tobacco products from a convenience store earlier this month.
Dana L. Porter was wanted after allegedly stealing an undisclosed amount of tobacco products from Mills Brothers Market at 508 S.E. Second St., just after 10 a.m. on Dec. 13.
Earlier this week, Milford police released information about the incident along with surveillance camera images taken at the convenience store in the hopes of tracking down Porter.
Detective Dwight Young said the department subsequently received numerous tips regarding Porter's whereabouts that ultimately led to her arrest.
Porter is charged with shoplifting under $1,000 and also was wanted on five warrants issued by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
She has been released on an unsecured bond, police said.
