  • Reba M. (Summers) Fullman affectionately known as "Aunt Reba" departed this life at home on December 18, 2012. She was 95 years old.
    She was born on July 8,1917 in Dover Delaware to the late Walter L Summers, Sr. and Clara Mae (Robinson) Summers. Her parents were both long standing and devoted members of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Willow Grove, DE which has since closed and merged with the Zion A.M.E. Church in Camden, DE.
    She moved to Philadelphia, PA in her early twenties. She was united in holy matrimony in 1938 to the late William Fullman Jr.
    She worked for the city of Philadelphia for twenty-five years, as a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring in 1979. Upon returning to Delawere she worked in the Foster Grand Parent program.
    She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Philadelphia, PA for 35 years, where she served as Deaconess.
    In 1980 she reunited with Zion A.M.E. Church in Camden, a "sentiment from her roots. The church was without a pianist, so she, having knowledge of music, volunteered her services. She became the pianist, and is still playing the melodious hymns at Zion A.M.E. Church. Her favorite scripture is Psalms 23:1 and her favorite hymns are "We Are Our Heavenly Fathers Children" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee".
    She is a loyal and dedicated church worker. In past years, she has served as Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, and Missionary. At age 95, she still sponsor her favorite church fundraiser, The Annual Family and Friends Day", held each August. She is well known for her delicious home cooked food and warm hospitality.
    She is preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Jr., Clifford, and Ervin Summers and five sisters, Pearl Brown, Mildred Gilbert, Louvenia Andrews, Lillie George, and Blanche Baynard.
    She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
