  • Mary Ellen Ketchem passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012.

    She was born in Philippi, West Virgina. Mary graduated from Fairmont High School 1960 and Fairmont State College 1964. She also received a Masters Degree from University of Delaware in Education.

    Mary moved to Delaware in 1964 to teach at the Air Base High School. She married Fred Riblett in 1967.

    She was born in Philippi, West Virgina.  Mary graduated from Fairmont High School 1960 and Fairmont State College 1964.  She also received a Masters Degree from University of Delaware in Education.
    Mary moved to Delaware in 1964 to teach at the Air Base High School.  She married Fred Riblett in 1967.
    She was a member of Holy Cross Church and very involved with the Alliance of the Two Hearts and the Samaritans.  She was also past coordinator of the Adoration Chapel.  She lived everyday for her children and grandchildren and took enormous joy in watching them grow.  She will be greatly missed.
    She is preceded in death by her mother Virginia Lelah Squires and father George Boyd Ketchem.
    Mary is survived by three children Gregory Riblett and his wife Annette of St Thomas USVI and their three children Coleman, twins Gabriella and Vincent, Jill Forbes and her husband David of Alexandria, VA and their two daughters Lelah and Lara, Julie Hamanus and husband Juha and their daughter Aniella and many cousins and extended family in Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio.
    A gathering was held 6-8 pm Sunday, December 23 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 9:30 am Monday, December 24, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover.  Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
    In lieu of flowers, donations for her Mass and the repose of her soul may be made to The Alliance of the Holy Family International, P.O. Box 1719, Dover, DE 19903.
