  • A 47-year-old Magnolia woman died Saturday after she was struck by car while attempting to cross South State Street.
Dawn M. Lytle was pronounced dead at Kent General Hospital in Dover.
State police said Lyte was attempting to cross the southbound lane of South State Street, south of Woodlytown Road, about 5:30 p.m. when she walked into the path of a southbound 1991 Honda Accord driven by 34-year-old Magnolia resident Dawud Abdul Mumin.
Mumin, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured.
