The Caesar Rodney Riders girls squad improved to 2-0 Friday night after defeating rival Dover, 64-37.
The Riders came out swinging Friday night, dropping 18 first quarter points on the Lady Senators. After a slow start for Dover, they fought back, trailing by 8 going into the break.
After a closely contested third stanza, the Riders pulled away.
CR scored 25 points in the 4th and final quarter, while giving up only 6 points to Dover.
CR's Alexis Prillamen led all scorers with 18 points. Chakia Young and Deana Martin finished with 16 and 10 on the score sheet.
Louella Cooper paced the Senators finishing with 9 points.
The win for CR moves them to 2-0 for the season, while the Senators suffer their first loss of the young season.
