  • Frances M. Lemay passed away after a long illness with her family by her side on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
    She was born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, NY, married in 1952 and settled in Dover in 1958. She enjoyed family camping trips and had a passion for history and museums as well as theatre and music. After living in Puerto Rico and Australia, a love of travel was ignited and later she began frequent trips to Acapulco.
    Frances was very social and compassionate and people were drawn to her. she never had an unkind word for anyone.
    She is survived by very devoted husband of 60 years, Ronnie Lemay, children:
    Cathie Lemay of Deale, Md, Connie Lemay of Sewell, NJ; Ron Lemay Jr, of Townsend, De
    Chris Lemay, of Harrisburg, Pa Joanne Lemay-Loo, of Montrose, Ca Lisa Windell, of Wilmington , De grandchildren: David, Ronnie, Jamie, Laura, Emily, Daryl, Kyle, Laura, Andy, Jastin, Nickie, Shane and five great grandchildren.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 5 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover, where visitation will be one hour earlier.  Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
