A 52-year-old man was shot multiple times Friday morning during a drug-related, home-invasion robbery near Felton, police said.
The victim was taken to Kent General Hospital in Dover, where he is listed stable condition.
The shooting occurred after two men forced their way into a home in the 1200 block of Barney Jenkins Road about 2 a.m., according to police.
Detectives believe the victims were targeted for illegal drug activity, police said.
During the robbery one of the suspects got involved in a physical altercation with the 52-year-old man, resulting in the victim being shot multiple times in the upper body, police said.
A 31-year-old victim also was injured while attempting to escape through a window, police said. That man was later treated at Kent General for non-life-threatening injuries.
A 25-year-old man also in the home during the robbery was not injured.
Police said both robbers fled the home without any property.
Both robbers are described only as black men.
