  • Dover Police search for six suspects who robbed 69-year-old man

  • Three black, male suspects robbed a man in his hotel room Wednesday night in Dover while three more black suspects waited outside the room, Dover Police said Thursday. Police are searching for the suspects and are asking the public for any information on this case.

  • Dover Police Department detectives are searching for six suspects connected to the robbery of a 69-year-old man Wednesday night at Dover Budget Inn at 383 N. DuPont Highway.
    The man was sitting in his hotel room at approximately 9 p.m. when three unknown, black males forced the door open, Dover Police Capt. Tim Stump said.
    The suspects demanded money before they grabbed the victim and removed cash from his pockets, Stump said. They also took his cell phone during the incident.
    Meanwhile, there were three additional black male suspects outside of the room who did not enter the hotel room, Stump said. But all were wearing scarves covering their faces.
    The suspects all fled on foot toward Towne Point, he said.
