A Bridgeville man is accused of repeatedly raping an 11-year-old girl at a home in Woodside over the past year.
Benjamin Charleston, 55, was arrested at a home in Bridgeville on Wednesday, following a five-day investigation, a state police spokesman said.
The alleged sexual assaults reportedly occurred while Charleston and the girl were staying a home in the unit block of Mabel Drive in the London Village mobile home park.
The girl reported the sexual assaults to family members after Charleston was kicked out of the home in early November, police said.
Detectives first learned of the accusations on Nov. 9.
Charleston is charged with 18 counts of rape, continuous sexual abuse of a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
He is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna on a $462,500 secured bond, police said.
