  • Jonathan Alexander Grioli died Saturday, November 3rd. He was born October 11th, 1987 to Jay Windsor and Tina Grioli in Dover, DE. He was 25 years old.
Jonathan was a free and independent spirit, who lived his life as he saw fit. He was a great friend to have, one who was loyal, fun, and true. He was a man of many talents, who often honed his skills without outside help. For example, he was an accomplished self taught musician. He also became an amazing cook, without any formal training.
Jonathan loved playing his X-box, and was an amazing gamer. He began his musical career as a drummer, but later switched to bass guitar. He played for numerous bands including, Jack and the Skeletons as well as Skip and the Autumn Addicts. Jonathan's favorite place to be was the Green Stinger in Dover. The folks there were like his second family, and he loved them dearly. He refused to miss a day's work there, because it was just too much fun.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his Uncle Jess Windsor. He is survived by his parents, Tina Grioli and Spencer Moore, and Jay & Sharon Windsor, his sister, Catherine Potgieter, his brothers, Robert Hardy and Jace Densler; he is also remembered by his aunts and uncles, Giuseppe & Jen Grioli, and Scott and Vicki Windsor, his maternal Grandparents, Giuseppe and Dell Grioli, his paternal grandparents, William and JoAnn Windsor, his nephew, Logan Hardy, and his niece, Isabella Eckenrod. Jonathan is deeply missed by his girlfriend, Beth Hayes. H will never be forgotten by his three best friends, Mike Treadway, Richard Dye, Jr., and Eric McReynolds, as well as his family at the Green Stinger, numerous cousins, and countless friends.
Jonathan's loss will be deeply felt by all of those who knew him; his spirit of independence, strength, hope will always be with us, and his love we shall forever carry in our hearts. Jonathan is still well loved, and is deeply missed, and he will never be forgotten by those whose hearts he has touched. He will truly and sorrowfully be missed by all who knew and encountered him.
A gathering for Jonathan will take place on Saturday, November 17th at 4:30PM, with a memorial service starting at 5:30PM at Pippin Funeral Home. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the folks at the Green Stinger Sports Bar and Grill in Woodside, and to PFC 1st Class Shawn Rau of the Clayton Police Dept., for his assistance and compassion during their time of sorrow.
