The Associate Press is projecting Democrat Jack Markell has won re-election as Delaware's governor, while Sen. Tom Carper has been elected to a third term in the U.S. Senate
With 183 of 433 districts reporting, Markell had nearly 72 percent of the vote to Republican Jeff Cragg's 26 percent. The Green Party's Mark Joseph Perri and Libertarian Jesse McVay combined for only 2 percent.
Carper, meanwhile, had tallied 68.2 percent of the vote to Republican Kevin Wade's 27.4 percent. Independent Alexander Pires, who ran a high-profile race targeting Carper, received 3.8 percent of the vote. The Green Party's Andrew Richard Groff finished with less than one percent of the vote.
