  • Three masked men armed with handguns forced their way into a Magnolia-area home Saturday night but fled empty handed, according to police.
The home invasion occurred in the 700 block of Millchop Lane in the Woodside East community, west of Magnolia, about 10:30 p.m., said Delaware State Police Sgt. Paul Shavack.
The victims – a 41-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl – told police one of the women answered a knock at the door and was confronted by one of the masked men who forced his way inside, Shavack said.
The additional masked men followed the first inside, where the gunmen confronted the victims, he said.
The three men reportedly made no demands and did not remove any property or money before fleeing the area on foot.
    No injuries were reported
The three masked gunmen were described only as black and dressed in dark clothing.
Anyone with information about the home invasion is asked to call Delaware State Police Police at (302) 697-4454 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
