  • Two Kent County men face charges after police say they burglarized nine homes in Dover, Camden and Hartly during September.
    Floyd A. Smith Jr., 22, of Wyoming, and Michael A. Johnson, 41, of Clayton were charged with theft, conspiracy in the second degree, possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief. Smith also faces16 charges related to burglary in the second degree, theft by false pretense and falsifying business records. Johnson was also arrested on 27 charges related to burglary in the second degree.
    Police say Smith and Johnson removed jewelry and personal items from the following places: 1000 block of E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Sept.1; 2000 block of Halltown Road, Hartly, Sept. 7; 1000 block of Thicket Road, Camden, Sept. 7; 1000 block of E. Lebanon Road, Dover, Sept. 10; 5000 block of Halltown Road, Hartly, Sept. 12; 4000 block of Halltown Road, Hartly, Sept. 13; 4000 block Halltown Road, Hartly, Sept. 17; 3000 block of W. Denny's Road, Dover, Sept. 18; 2000 block of Willow Grove Road, Dover, Sept. 22; 1000 block of Judith Road, Hartly, Sept. 25.
