  • The St. Mark's Spartans stayed undefeated, while Dover dropped their second straight game on Friday night when the Senators fell to St. Mark's 31-7.
After a scoreless 1st quarter, the Spartans offense unleashed a 21 point attack on the Senators in the second quarter.
Spartans Edward Mendez would put the first points of the night on the board with a 3-yard touchdown run to give St. Mark's a 7-0 lead.
Then, St. Mark's QB Zachary Whitehead would throw two touchdown passes in the second stanza, a 10-yard strike to Jake Schneider, and a 20-yard dagger to DeAndre Davis.
Dover's Ian Gory would find Jordon Robinson on a 1-yard touchdown pass to pull the Senators to within 14 as the two teams retreated to the locker room for half time.
The Spartans would put away the Senators in the second half, posting 10 points in the third quarter. The Senators defense would hold St. Mark's to a 25-yard Jacob Beck field goal, but wouldn't be so lucky after a Ian Gory interception gave the Spartans remarkable field position leading to another touchdown pass from Whitehead to Schneider.
The win puts St. Mark's at 3-0, while Dover drops to 1-2 with their second straight loss of the season.
