The Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover man in connection with sexual solicitation of an 11-year-old girl.
Troopers were notified of the incident on Aug. 17 after a relative of the victim called to report that the girl's neighbor had been asking her to perform unlawful sexual acts, police said.
The young girl had been approached at her house by David A. Krutenat, 72 of Dover, whom she is familiar, on numerous occasions that day and was given hugs and kisses that were unwanted, police said. At one point during the incident, Krutenat asked her to perform a sexual act which she refused to do. Krutenat then left the property.
Krutenat was arrested on Sept. 7 upon completion of the investigation by State Police detectives. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and charged with sexual solicitation of a child, two counts of unlawful sexual contact with a person under 13, sexual harassment and five counts of offensive touching. He was released on $21,000 unsecured bond and is not to have any contact with the victim or anyone under the age of 18.
If anyone has any similar incidents regarding Krutenat, they are asked to contact Detective Wright at (302) 741-2811 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333. Information may also be provided at tipsubmit. Send an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
