Vernon S.”Flyboy” Wallace, was taken home, August 23, 2012 to be with his father and mother, William & Edna, and his 2 brothers, Tommy and Richard. He was born January 1, 1942 in Hutchinson, Kansas. Vernon leaves behind his best friend and loving wife LuAnn; his two favorite fuzzy loves, Montana and Princess; and his brother, Leroy, of Hutchinson, KS.
Vernon retired from the U.S. Air Force, after 20 years of service. He then went to work for the Bolling Aircraft Co.in Kansas. After leaving Bolling, he and his former wife- Charlotte moved back to Delaware. His favorite past times were spent on the C.B. radio with his C.B. buddies. His “handle” being “flyboy”. He also had a passion about fishing; Vernon had a Mercedes Benz. He would put the top down, put on a big grin, and away he would go for a drive.
He will be sadly missed by those of us that are still on this earth who knew him, especially his wife and brother.
