  • Shane Coleman and Jordan Dean were honored for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 237 Lebanon Road, Dover, on Aug. 19.
Sgt. Patrick Galvin, A1C Brian Smith, and A1C Michael Forry of the Dover Air Force Base Fire Department Color Guard, conducted a patriotic flag folding ceremony for the two honorees.
For their Eagle Scout projects, Coleman and Dean decided to provide different services to members of the armed forces and military families.
Shane, Troop 634 and other volunteers visited wounded warriors from all armed forces at the Warrior Café in the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center located in Bethesda Maryland. They spent four hours giving 250 cupcakes to each warrior and thanking them for their service and sacrifice.
Jordan, with help from the USO and Friends of the Fallen, put together a letter writing campaign for the families of the fallen soldiers. Jordan organized volunteers to write more than 400 letters offering condolences.
