  • Dover-based Calvary Pictures Inc. is scheduled to hold a fundraiser Friday night for its first feature length film, “God’s Amazing Grace.”
Calvary Pictures, the film subsidiary of Calvary Baptist Church, will present “The Mighty Men of Song” in concert.
Might Men of Song Director Rivers McCreary is a recent, retired Dover city policeman and Rev. Edward Tatum, president of the Calvary Prison Ministry, are preparing a great concert that involves other community soloists, said Dr. Linda Hackett, fundraising director.
"God's Amazing Grace" is a modern interpretation of the famous prodigal son parable. The Rev. Dr. Clifton Davis stars and Calvary Baptist associate minister Dr. Warren Rhodes is the director and scriptwriter.
Many of the members of The Mighty Men have positions in Delaware that address the issues that will be depicted in the Movie, "God's Amazing Grace", Hackett said. And they are excited to support this movie financially, she said.
The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church-Route 8 West, 163 Victory Chapel Road, Dover, DE 19904.
Calvary Pictures anticipates that “God’s Amazing Grace” will be released in summer 2013.
