I have always wanted to write a book about my interesting and exciting life. I will not write it now, but give you a condensed version. I was born Phyllis R. Daniels on August 11, 1941 in the old Harlem Hospital on 135th street in Harlem. Philip and Gertrude Daniels were my parents. I had no siblings, so life was a peach when I had my three children.
I was blessed, because I had a great-grandmother, grandmother, aunt, and uncle (it takes a family) to help me raise my three children. Later, I started acting as if I was single. I did things most people do not experience; like traveling, eating exotic food, swimming in the ocean at sunset, and meeting neew people by air, train, and bus.
I worked at Motor Vehicle, and the NYS Department of Transportation until my retirement in 1996. I moved to Dover, DE in 2009; so my daughter could realize her wish of taking care of Mom. This was one of the happiest living environments I could ever have in life. I could really sit and enjoy my senior days, or go out partying with my new friends, The Elegant Ebony Red Hat Society.
I do not want my family and friends to moan for me, because I know I will have an even better time in heaven, seeing family, old friends, and waiting for you to come see me. My son, Anthony, left in 2009 to prepare a new home for us in heaven. I leave to enjoy at the utmost, my son, David Washington, my daughter, Adrienne Washington, my daughters-in-law, Marilyn Neal and Tina Washington, my son-in-law, Edward Doman, my grandchildren; Mylinda Beach, Erica Beach, Deandra Beach, Ajsa Washington, Ross Washington, Dewayne Beach, Lance Washington, Aaron Beach and all the rest of my family and friends.
I have been so blessed so much in life; all I can do is thank God for his blessings, favors, goodness, kindness, provisions, and the last, but also the first, his LOVE.
