Elaine F. Statham, of Dover, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, in her home. She was 70.
Mrs. Statham was born, September 24, 1941 in Boston, Mass to the late Joseph and Josephine Gerulskis Pocius. She graduated from the Bridgewater State University with her BS in education and the University of Delaware with a Masters degree in education. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, and a volunteer for many organizations including church, the Adult Literacy Project and member of the board of directors for Mom's House at its formation. She enjoyed puzzles of different kinds, sewing, toking walks, and politics.
Mrs. Statham is survived by; her husband of 42years, Flavous Statham; four sons, Michael Statham and his wife Kimberley of Dover, Jim Statham and his wife Michelle of Magnolia, Kevin Statham of Dover, and Jeff Statham and his wife Kelly of Hockessin; brother, Robert Pocius of Dover; sisters, Margie Filleul and her husband Bob of Hubbardston, Mass, and Susan Petrucci and her husband Joe of Providence Village Tex. Also surviving are; her three grandchildren, Emma, Ethan, and Logan Statham. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held, 11am, Friday, June 22, 2012, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel, South, 1145 Lebanon Rd. Dover, DE 19901 where friends may call 7-9 o'clock Thursday evening. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, Delaware.
