Jesse A. Willey, Jr. of Dover died Monday, May 28, 2012 in Kent General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was 58.
Jesse was born May 19, 1954 in Dover, Delaware to the late Jesse A. Willey, Sr. and Regina Morris Willey.
He worked for the State of Delaware, Del Dot as a construction inspector for 30 years retiring in 2002. Jesse enjoyed hunting especially for deer and rabbit. He also enjoyed NASCAR and was a fan of the late Dale Earnhart, Sr. In his youth he had played for Dover Little League and as an adult became a coach. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Jesse is survived by his wife of 29 years, Diane Cox Willey of Dover; son SFC. Kristopher D. Willey and his wife Kyrstin of Ft. Hood, TX; daughter, Jaime L. Duttweiler and her husband Ken of Kenosha, WI; brothers, Larry Willey and his wife Shelly, Fred Willey and his wife Robin, Gary Willey all of Dover; grandchildren, Jordan Willey of Dover, Kaylee Willey and Kooper Willey both of Ft. Hood, TX; uncle, Wayne Morris of Lewes, DE; aunt, Josephine Kauffman of Carlisle, PA; his mother in law Peg Zehring of Dover; brother and sister in law, Dennis and Bobbie Cox; sister and brother in law, Verna and Brian Sellers and sister in law, Karen Cox; and a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held, 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday evening. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Dover Little League, 200 Electric Avenue, Dover, DE 19904.
