  • New Castle, Del. native Mike "No Joke" Stewart dropped the WBU Title Friday night at Dover Downs to Chris "Kid Kayo" Fernandez by unanimous decision.
    With his first title, Fernandez, a Salt Lake City native, becomes only the third boxing champion to come out of the state of Utah.
     
    The rest of Friday night's results:
    Dover, Del. native Lamont "The Problem Solver" Singletary defeated Rogelio "Little Heathen" Saldana by unanimous decision in a 4 round bout.
    Mike "Strictly Business" Denby of Felton, Del. was defeated by Duane D. King by Technical Knock Out 2:05 into the 3rd round.
    Wilmington, Del. resident Omar "Super O" Douglas defeated Jonathan Garcia by Unanimous Decision in a 4 round bout.
    "Queen" Ronica Jeffrey won the vacant WBU Featherweight Title by defeating Jackie "The Force" Trivilino by Unanimous Decision in a 4 round bout.
    The Main Event of the night between Franklin "Yah-Yah" Lawrence and "Merciless" Mike Mollo was canceled after a pre-fight CAT Scan revealed Mollo had a separation in one of his vertebrae.
