Oscar Everett, Jr. of Dover died Thursday May 17, 2012 at Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Dover. He was 73.

Mr. Everett was born June 12, 1938 in Chestertown, Maryland to the late Oscar E. Everett, Sr. and Mabel May Luff Everett.

He owned his own mobile home service for 25 years, Everett’s Mobile Home Maintenance. Mr. Everett had also worked for Acme for a few years. He enjoyed hunting, and local stock car racing, dancing and listening to blue grass and country music.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna May Kristi, Betty Remmington and Ella Jennings.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Merchant Everett of Felton; son, Robert Everett of Felton; daughter, Lisa Cooper and her husband Mark of Felton; brother, George Everett and his companion Nancy Lister of Chestertown, MD; sister, Elsie Marker of Milford; grandchildren, Rob Cooper and his wife Alexis of Hampton, VA, Wendy Sparks and her husband Greg of Felton and great grandchildren, Sabrina and Addison Sparks, Alexa, Aiden, and Ashton Cooper.

Funeral services will be held 11am, Monday May 21, 2012 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 6-8pm Sunday evening. Interment will be held at Sharon Hills Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Delaware Hospice and Courtland Manor for the loving care they showed to Mr. Everett and the entire family during his illness.
