  • The Caesar Rodney Riders fell to David Michael and the Milford Bucs 4-0 on Thursday afternoon. Travis Dill and David Michael both went the distance on the mound for their squads.
Milford’s David Michael pitched a no-hitter against CR, allowing zero hits while striking out 7 for the win. CR’s Travis Dill pitched admirably, pitching a complete game while giving up only 4 runs on 6 hits.
Milford struck first scoring 2 runs in both the 1st and 2nd innings. Those 4 runs would be enough as Michael closed the door for the Bucs.
Milford’s Nick Grant led the way with 2 hits, including an RBI double in the first inning. Aside from being sharp on the mound, Michael contributed with the bat as well, singling home a run and coming around to score in the 2nd.
The loss puts the Riders at 10-4 for the season and 7-3 against the conference. Only 4 games remain in the season for Caesar Rodney. The Riders are back in action Tuesday afternoon at home taking on conference foe Smyrna.
