Anthony Joseph Gall, of Camden, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 81.


Anthony Joseph Gall, of Camden, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 81.

Anthony was born June 10, 1930, in Taylor, Pennsylvania, to the late Andrew & Victoria (Bukowski) Gall. He was one of 11 children.

He served proudly in the U.S. Air Force from 1948-1973 stationed around the world including Texas, Pennsylvania, Korea, two tours in Japan, Germany, Oklahoma, and Florida before retiring.  Afterward he was employed with the state of Delaware for 27 years where he was instrumental in implementing the Veteran’s Outreach Program for the Delaware Department of Labor.

Anthony was an avid reader, enjoyed watching wildlife, loved the beach, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Irmgard (Wollschlaeger) Gall, a son Anthony Gall of Camden, a daughter  Christina Atwood & her husband Tim of Magnolia, two sisters Sophie Ptaszek, of Rochester, NY; Florence Derenick, of Taylor, PA; and a granddaughter Jennifer Voth, living in Frankfurt, Germany.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 N. Dupont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
