In the wind and rain on Saturday, the Riders’ girls varsity lacrosse team was able to pull out a 9-5 victory against the Ravens.

CR scored five of its goals in the first half, and then Saint Thomas came back in the second with each team scoring four goals.

For the Riders, midfielder Madeline Voshell scored three goals, attack Megan Webb scored two goals, and attack Christy Holden, attack Lynzi Yearick and midfielder Jackie Mihok each contributed one goal each.

With assists during the game were Holden with three, midfielder Miranda Hawkins with two, and Voshell and Mihok each with one.

For the Ravens, Christine Petroksy scored three goals, while Victoria Southard and Alexis Petrosky had one goal each.

Christine Petroksy also had one assist in the game.

Both goalies Kaitlyn McMahon of Saint Thomas and Lauren Biddle of CR each had six saves.
