Clements “Clem” R. Horvath, Sr., of Dover passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.  He was 90.


Clements “Clem” R. Horvath, Sr., of Dover passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.  He was 90.

He was born in Clifton, NJ, the son of the late Clements and Anna (Palla) Horvath.

He owned and operated Clem’s Auto’s in Dover for many years. 

He raced stock cars at the Georgetown Raceway, Little Lincoln Raceway and Delmar Raceway.  He was an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Clements “Pete” Horvath, Jr., and a sister, Helen Downey.

He is survived by his wife, Millicent  (Tigner) Horvath, 4 children, Jackie Brown and her husband, Bruce, of Dover, Stephanie Burris and Ron King of Dover, Lisa Hoffer of Dover and Jeffrey Horvath and his wife Terri of Camden-Wyoming, 5 grandchildren, Erica Saint, Tanya Horvath, Aaron Hoffer, Abby Horvath and Shane Horvath,  and 4 great grandchildren, Holden Saint, Tom Saint, Ralph Saint and Timothy Horvath.

 Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Wyoming United Methodist Church, 16 Wyoming Mill Road, Dover, where friends may call from  12  to 1 p.m.

Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Camden.
