Norman Evans Tweed, of Dover, passed away Monday, Jan.16, 2012 in his home.

He was 80.  Born October 20, 1931, to the Late Norman & Anita(Lesley) Tweed, in Newark,DE.

Norman, “Biscuit” or “The Fonz”, as he was known, spent most of his life in Newark, before moving to Dover, in 2002.

 He had various jobs throughout his life.  Norm had worked for the B & O Railroad; Richards Dairy, in Newark, for over 20 years; the Chrysler Corp. for 27 years, and then State of Delaware for 10 years, before retiring in 2002.

Mr. Tweed enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was very meticulous in taking care of his lawn. He was a Member of the United Auto Workers Union; and his family was his life.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister- Thelma Suppi.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Lucille(Martin) Tweed; 2 Sons- Randy Evans Tweed and his wife-Denise, of Medina, Ohio; and Craig Allen Tweed, of Bear. His sister- Anita Buckley, of Arkansas; 2 Grandsons, a Granddaughter, 2 Great-Grandsons, and a  Great-Granddaughter; along with several nieces, nephews, and his faithful companion- Panda.

A memorial service was held Friday, Jan.20,2012 at 8 p.m., in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, where friends gathered from 7 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Family Christian Radio.
