A number of schools and school districts will be closed or opening with a delay on Monday, Aug. 29 because of damage from Hurricane Irene.


The following school districts and schools in the state of Delaware have been closed for Monday, Aug. 29, because of damage anticipated from Hurricane Irene.

They are:

Appoquinimink Brandywine Moyer Academy Delaware Academy Delaware College Prep East Side Charter School Family Foundation Academy Kuumba Academy MOT Charter School Newark Charter School Odyssey Charter School Prestige Academy Providence Creek Academy Thomas A. Edison Charter School Christina School District New Castle County Vo-Tech Polytech -- 10- and 12-month employees are due to report, if able. If unable to attend, 10-month employees may use a personal day, and 12-month employees may use a personal or vacation day. All Saints Catholic School Christ the Teacher Catholic School High Road School of Delaware Holy Angels School Holy Cross Elementary School Immaculate Heart of Mary School Our Lady of Fatima School St. Ann’s School St. Anthony of Padua Grade School St. Elizabeth’s Elementary School St. John The Beloved School St. Mary Magdalen School St. Peter’s Cathedral School St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School Saint Thomas More Preparatory Smyrna Positive Outcomes Charter School Campus Community School

 

Caesar Rodney High School will open with a two-hour delay, and schools in Capital School District will open with a one-hour delay.
