A 26-year-old Camden man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in the neck early Saturday morning in front of building H at the Autumn Run apartment complex, off Webbs Lane in south Dover.


A 26-year-old Camden man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in the neck early Saturday morning in front of building H at the Autumn Run apartment complex, off Webbs Lane in south Dover.

Police said prior to the shooting, which occurred around 4:30 a.m., there were reports of approximately 30 to 40 people congregating in the apartment complex parking lot.

Troopers did not disclose the number of times the unnamed victim was shot, or the type of ammunition used in the shooting, but they did say he was struck by a small-caliber round. The victim was flown to Christiana Hospital where he was listed in stable but guarded condition.

Detectives are looking for suspect and witness information related to the shooting and attempting to identify the person or persons in a dark colored Chevrolet Caprice seen leaving the area just after the crime.

Currently there is no additional suspect information available.
