Fifer Orchards' annual Strawberry Festival takes to the farm from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, May 21.


Fifer Orchards' annual Strawberry Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at their Camden-Wyoming location, 1919 Allabands Mill Road.

Hay rides, strawberry picking, pony rides, peting zoo, face painting and barrel train rides will keep families busy while listeining to live music by Stoney Run String Band (bluegrass) from 10 a.m. to noon, and George and Ossi (Americana) from noon to 4 p.m. In the strawberry patch, entertainment includes Miss Jackie from 10 a.m. to noon, Stoney Run String Band from noon to 2 p.m., and John Sell from 2 to 4 p.m.

Good eats include BBQ by BBQ Grilles, gourmet burgers by Nage and Abbott's Grill, strawbery treats including lemonade, shortcake, smoothies, ice cream, kettle corn, funnel cakes and covered strawberries.

To enter the strawberry recipe contest, submit entries by 11 a.m. the day of the festival at the cash registers.
