  • Trailer fire ruled arson in Woodside

  • The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a manufactured home fire that was deliberately set. The fire occurred at 11:46 pm April 13 in the Woodside area of Kent County.

  • The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a manufactured home fire that was deliberately set. The fire occurred at 11:46 pm April 13 in the Woodside area of Kent County.
    The fire was reported by a passing motorist, who called 911 to report flames coming from the residence in the 1000 block of Walnut Shade Road, east of Route 13 in the Woodside area.
    The Camden-Wyoming Fire Co. responded to the fire and arrived with flames coming from the front of the structure. Assistance was requested from the Felton and Magnolia Fire Companies. The fire was brought under control at 12:07 am, with no injuries reported. No occupants were home at the time of the fire and damages have been estimated at $30,000.
    Deputy State Fire Marshals conducted an investigation and determined the fire to be intentionally set and has been ruled arson.
