John Nemeth, 96, formerly of Phillipsburg, N.J., and Indian Beach Harbor, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011.
John Nemeth, 96, formerly of Phillipsburg, N.J., and Indian Beach Harbor, Fla., died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, in Dover.
Born in West Virginia, Mr. Nemeth was the son of the late John Nemeth and Teresa Cigialy Nemeth.
He was the husband of Rose (Sos) Nemeth for 72 years prior to her passing last year.
Mr. Nemeth retired from J.T. Baker Chemical Co. in Phillipsburg in 1979 after 28 years. He then became a self-employed carpenter until the age of 73.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Helen Vanatta, Mary Striesek, Rose Miller, Anna Louis and Joseph Nemeth.
Mr. Nemeth is survived by two daughters, Shirley A. Bussenger, and Donna Curcio and her husband John Curcio of Plantation, Fla.; two sons, John L. Nemeth and his wife Marlene of Vero Beach, Fla., and Barry R. Nemeth and his wife Wantanee of Dover; and 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
