SLT Fishing Club to host turkey shoot March 6
The Silver Lake Tavern Fishing Club will host a turkey shoot at noon Sunday, March 6, at 1111 Crystal Road, Hartly.
Participants should use a 12-gauge only with no scope and no barrel length restriction. The club will provide the shells.
First-, second-, third-, fourth- and fifth-place trophies will be awarded at the end of the season.
The cost is $2 per round or $5 for a money round. A 50/50 also will be available for $1 per box.

Holy Cross announces spring program
The Spring Coed Volleyball Program is accepting registrations for the 2011 season. The program is open to third to 12th graders, boys and girls. Participants need not be members of Holy Cross Parish, and all practices and matches are played in the Holy Cross Gym.
Evaluations will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, March 7, for third to seventh graders; and 6 p.m. for eighth to 12th graders. They will be held at the Holy Cross Gym on State Street.
Walk-up registrations will be accepted a half an hour before evaluations. The fee is $50 for the first child and $25 for each additional child.

Adult co-ed league to begin play March 9 at Pitts
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering an Adult Co-Ed Dodgeball League from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, March 9, to April 13, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
Players must be ages 18 and older. There will be six players on the court and games must begin with at least two women on the court. Rules can be found on the city’s Parks and Recreation website.
There will be a players meeting and open practice for those registered at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at the Pitts Center.
The activity fee is $10 per person.

Zumba held Mondays at Modern Maturity Center
Zumba classes will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays in the Modern Maturity Center’s Ballroom, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover.
Jen Tunis will teach Zumba, which is a fusion of Latin and International music that creates a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system.
The activity fee is $35 for six sessions. MMC members pay $25.

Kent County Destroyers to hold sign-ups
The Kent County Destroyers youth football team will hold a sign-up session from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Clearfield Apartments, 125 Haman Drive, Suite 103, Dover.
The age group is 6 to 14 years with unlimited weight class. The league consists of freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
The registration fee is $75. Parents must bring their child’s birth certificate and proof of medical insurance.
