Chair Aerobics to be held at Pitts Center
The City of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Chair Aerobics from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Thursdays, Feb. 24, to March 31, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
A chair is used for seated or standing support. This non-impact aerobic class is for individuals who are interested in increasing upper body strength, and cardiovascular and muscular endurance. It is designed to increase balance, range of motion and coordination.
The activity fee is $25.

The City of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Hula Hoop Class for ages 7 to 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 24, to March 31, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
This class promotes exercise, builds strength, hand-eye coordination, balance and flexibility.
The activity fee is $5 per session and $10 per hoop, a one-time purchase.

Low Impact Aerobics starts Feb. 28 at Pitts
The City of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Low Impact Aerobics from 4:10 to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 28, to March 30, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
The will be no class Mondays, Jan. 17, or Feb. 21.
The workout is designed to burn fat, strengthen, tone and improve balance with low-impact movements. Light weights will be utilized for specific exercises.
The cost is $32.

Insane Fitness designed to work whole body
The City of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Insane Fitness from 6:50 to 7:35 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 1, to March 24, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
Participants will experience the benefits of sculpting, toning and fast-fat burning for the upper and lower body. Three-minute intervals of intense cardio will be followed by two minutes of hardcore weight training and sport-style drills. Floor work also is incorporated.
The activity fee is $25.

Weight class for women begins March 1 at Pitts
The City of Dover Parks and Recreation Department is offering Women on Weights from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 1, to March 24, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
The weight class is full of sculpting, toning and balance burning for the upper and lower body. It will focus on each muscle group by toning the muscles with hand weights, and after 30 minutes of standing weight training the group will end with floor work to focus on abs, hips and glutes.
The activity fee is $25.

Boating class designed to teach basics
The Coast Guard AUX Flottia 12-03 will be conducting a Delaware Basic Boating Class from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, and Tuesday, March 1, in the auditorium of the Richard and Robins Building, 89 Kings Highway, Dover.
The fee is $10 per person. Each student must attend both classes in order to be eligible to receive a boating license.

BASEBALL
Registration open for Camden-Wyoming Little League
The Camden Wyoming Little League is now taking registrations for the 2011 season, with a final registration date set for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 26, in the league’s boardroom.
Online registration also is open at www.cwll.net.
The league is registering boys and girls, ages 4 to 18, interested in playing baseball or softball. For baseball, a child’s league age is determined by how old the child is on April 30, 2011. For girls’ softball, a child’s league age is determined by how old the child is on Dec. 31, 2010.
At the time of registration, parents must bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate, and also three copies of proof of residency for the league to keep.

The course introduces the basic fundamentals of basketball including passing, dribbling, control and more. Age-appropriate equipment will be used.
