Dover police are asking the public's help in located a man who allegedly broke into his girlfriend's home and strangled her Feb. 15.


Dover police are asking the public's help in located a man who allegedly broke into his girlfriend's home and strangled her Feb. 15.

According to police, at approximately 7 a.m., Shaun M. Dukes, 29, entered his girlfriend's unit in the 900 block of Whatcoat Drive, Whatcoat Apartments. The suspect then kicked in a bedroom door and dragged the victim by her hair into the living room, where he proceeded to strangle her, all in view of two children, police said. Dukes then allegedly stole the victim's cell phone and fled prior to officers arriving on scene.
