Dover High School
Girls Basketball
Record: 3-1, 3-1
The Dover High girls basketball team extended its win streak to three games last week when it beat Caesar Rodney, 47-31, Dec. 14. Nichelle Potter scored 22 points in the win for the Senators, while teammate Antonia Johnson chipped in 10 points. Dover will face Polytech High School in the first round of the Pat Borowski Classic at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Lake Forest High School.

Wrestling
Record: 0-3, 0-2
The Dover High wrestling team lost two dual matches last week to William Penn, 54-15, Dec. 13, and Sussex Central, 54-7, Dec. 15. Heavyweight Brandon Flamer won his match against William Penn by pin to get a few points for the Senators, who return to action at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, vs. Smyrna High School.

Caesar Rodney High School
Girls Basketball
Record: 3-1, 2-1
The Caesar Rodney High girls basketball team lost its first game of the season last week to rival Dover, 47-31, Dec. 14. Taylor Prillaman scored nine points in the loss for the Riders, who next play at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Brandywine High School, held at St. Elizabeth High School as part of the Diamond State Classic tournament.

Lake Forest High School
Boys Basketball
Record: 2-1, 2-1
The Lake Forest High boys basketball team won its second game of the season last week when it beat Delmar, 50-47, Dec. 14, getting 18 points from Shymer Hanzer in the process. The Spartans are off until after Christmas, when they’ll visit the Quaker Classic at Wilmington Friends School, playing Tower Hill School at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28.

Girls Basketball
Record: 2-2, 2-2
The Lake Forest High girls basketball team got back on the winning track last week when it beat Delmar, 49-47, Dec. 14. Leading the Spartans in the win was Gabrielle Cubbage, who scored 16 points. Lake will host the Pat Borowski Classic and play its opening game of the tourney at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, vs. Conrad School.

Wrestling
Record: 0-1, 0-1
The Lake Forest High wrestling team lost its first dual match of the season last week to Laurel, 39-36, Dec. 15. The Spartan wins in the dual came from Brandon Garcia, 152, by fall; Jared Hacker, 189, by fall; Marshall Hobbs, 215, by decision; Christian Forrest, HWT, by fall; Ryan Miller, 112, by fall; Brenden Schultie, 125, by decision; and Andrew Wise, 135, by forfeit. Lake will host Sussex Tech High School for its next dual at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22.

Polytech High School
Boys Basketball
Record: 3-0, 3-0
The Polytech High boys basketball team remained undefeated last week when it beat Indian River, 69-46, Dec. 15. The Panthers are off until after Christmas, when they’ll play in the Governor’s Challenge Tournament in Salisbury, Md., facing Queen Anne’s County in their first game at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28.

Girls Basketball
Record: 2-2, 2-1
The Polytech High girls basketball team lost the only game it played last week to Saint Thomas More, 48-46, Dec. 17. The Panthers will play in the Pat Borowski Classic at Lake Forest High School next, first facing off against Dover at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29.

Wrestling
Record: 1-0, 1-0
The Polytech High wrestling team started its dual season on a positive note when it beat Delmar, 48-28, Dec. 15. The Panthers are off until after the holidays, when they host Woodbridge High School at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5.

Because of early holiday deadlines, the weekly roundup has scores through Thursday, Dec. 16. The scores not included will be in the Dec. 29 issue.
