Every year, area fire departments welcome Santa to join them on their trucks to visit local kids. Here's where he'll be in the coming days.

Here's when Santa will join forces with area fire departments to visit local kids. He'll hit the road Dec. 18 with the Dover Fire Department, make one round of Kenton Dec. 19, run with Camden-Wyoming from Dec. 19 to Dec. 22, and travel with Magnolia from Dec. 21 to Dec. 23.

Dover Fire Department’s Operation Santa will run through Saturday, Dec. 18. Santa will be visitng children in neighborhoods around Dover. For more information, visit www.doverfire.org.

Sponsored by the Kenton Town Council. 659-3539.

Santa will travel with the Camden-Wyoming Volunteer Fire Department from Sunday, Dec. 19, to Wednesday, Dec. 22. The fire truck will announce his arrival by blowing the horn and sounding the sirens. Have kids put on their coats and send them out to meet Santa. Because there are so many children for Santa to meet and greet, families should be patient; some developments take longer to get through then others. The fire truck with Santa will be making a large loop in each development. For information, call 697-3021.

Fire trucks will head out at 6 p.m., and when families hear the sirens they should dress warmly and head outside to see Santa, who will have a small gift for each child and helpers to hand them out. Santa is on a tight schedule and must keep moving so he doesn’t miss anyone, so families should wait at the curb of their home as Santa passes by. Unless the weather is unbearable, this is a rain or shine event.
