Carolyn “Teresa” Lardizzone, 62, of Dover, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010.

Born in Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Lardizzone moved to Dover in 1983 and graduated from Wesley College where she received an associate’s degree in paralegal services.

She was active in community affairs and had been a past senior vice commander of the DAVA Department of Delaware and a past unit commander of DAVA Unit No. 1. She also had been a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary at the Walter L. Fox Post No. 2 in Dover.

Mrs. Lardizzone enjoyed crocheting and was accomplished in her arts and crafts, winning several prizes at the Delaware State Fair.

She was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Marydel, Md., and will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Lardizzone is survived by her husband, Paul V. Lardizzone of Dover; her mother, Mary Louise Ledford of Atlanta; a son, Charles Edward Flynn of Atlanta; and two grandchildren Benjamin G. Flynn of Atlanta and Sean M. Flynn of Clifton Park, N.Y.
