The Diamond State Athletic Conference all-conference teams in field hockey, boys soccer and girls volleyball for fall 2010 were announced, with several students from Saint Thomas More Preparatory and Campus Community High School receiving honors.


The Diamond State Athletic Conference has announced its all-conference selections for the 2010 fall sports seasons in field hockey, boys soccer and girls volleyball, with several members of Saint Thomas More Preparatory and Campus Community High School being named to the rosters.

Local students named to the first team all-conference field hockey team were STM seniors Katie Price, Meghan McGloin and Abby Lauder; STM junior Christine Eliassen; and CCHS senior Skyler Speed.

Those named to the second team were STM seniors Julie DiMarco and Nia Hall; STM junior Christine Petrosky; STM sophomore Dani Gallgher; and CCHS senior Karen Edgar.

Those receiving honorable mention were STM senior Liz Freud; STM freshman Rebecca Shipper; CCHS sophomore Mercedes Jennings; and CCHS freshman Mychala Snead.

Local students named to the first team all-conference boys soccer team were: STM juniors Dorley Magre and Michael Stant.

Those named to the second team were STM seniors John Apgar, Kevin O’Shea, Guillermo Figueroa and goalie Zachary Smiertka; STM sophomore Peter Potecha; and CCHS seniors Reed Power and Adem Cemerlic.

Those receiving honorable mention were STM seniors Josh Holmes and Tyler Simpkiss; and CCHS juniors Marcus Miller and Michael Fox.

A local student named to the first team all-conference girls volleyball team was STM senior Christina Hillman.

A student named to the second team was STM junior Grace Coury.

Those receiving honorable mention were STM junior Melissa Micek; and CCHS senior Cynthia Corina.
