Police say at approximately 3:40 p.m. Nov. 22, Roger Sarlouis, 43, of Dover, crossed the centerline and crashed head-on into a minivan.
The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating a car acccident in Frederica Nov. 22 that killed a Dover man.
According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. Roger Sarlouis, 43, of Dover, was driving a 2001 Honda Civic northbound on Canterbury Road north of Carpenters Bridge Road. Sarlouis’ vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and into the path a 2000 Dodge Caravan driven by Amanda M. Felmlee, 24, of Lincoln, resulting in a head on collision.
Sgt. Paul Shavack said Sarlouis sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead during transport to Milford Memorial Hospital. A 10-year-old boy riding the back seat of Sarlouis’ vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to BayHealth Kent General Hospital. Felmlee was flown by a state police helicopter to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center and admitted in serious condition.
The road was closed for approximately two as the crash was investigated and cleared.
Preliminary investigation revealed that all occupants were wearing seatbelts, Shavack said.
