The Harrington Police Department arrested two men Nov. 13 and charged them with breaking into a residence in the 200 block of Delaware Avenue earlier that night.


The Harrington Police Department arrested two men Nov. 13 and charged them with breaking into a residence in the 200 block of Delaware Avenue earlier that night.

According to Sgt. Earl K. Brode, police apprehended Francis Ulmer 21, of Magnolia, and Malcolm A. Casson, 18, of Dover, after responding to a report of a burglary and conducting a search of the area.

Police allege Ulmer and Casson entered into the residence through a window and caused damage. 

Both suspects were transported back to the Harrington Police Department and processed. A computer check revealed that Ulmer had an outstanding warrant from the Kent County Court of Common Pleas, Brode said.

The men were arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court No. 7 in Dover and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute. Ulmer is jailed in default of $5,443.00 cash bail and $3,250.00 secured bail and Casson is jailed in default of $3,000.00 secured bail.
