The Salvation Army church office, 611 Forest St., Dover, will be taking applications to provide families in need residing in Kent County with food bags and/or toys for children ages 12 and younger. Individuals interested in receiving food bags or toys must bring required identification and documentation materials and complete an application on one of the designated application days in order to receive items on our distribution days in December.
The Salvation Army will be accepting Christmas applications from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and from 1:30 to 3 pm. on the following dates: Monday, Nov. 15, Tuesday, Nov. 16, Wednesday, Nov. 17, Thursday, Nov. 18 and Friday, Nov. 19. This is the only week for Christmas Applications this year.
Applicants must reside in Kent County and bring the following items with them:
Photo ID for applicant
Birth certificates for children 12 and younger
Most recent utility bill (electric, gas, oil, etc.)
Social Security cards for everyone in the household (must be the actual cards or print outs directly from Social Security Administration)
Proof of income (pay stubs, SS, SSI or SSD award letters, state assistance award letters, etc.)
