The sound of drums, whistles and cheers rang out in downtown Dover Oct. 22 as the Senators got amped up for their big game against Cape Henlopen. The pre-game parade brought out Capital School District fans of all ages to cheer on the team and all the parade's participants.
Dover High School's homecoming parade marched down Loockerman Street and wound throughout downtown Dover Oct. 22, getting fans ready for the Senators' face-off with Cape Henlopen. Senator spirits were high during the parade and pre-game festivities, although the game ended in Cape's favor, 25-24.
Capital School District schools turned out involved floats packed with students to take to the streets, as did sports teams, the high school drama club, and other groups. The Dover High class of '55 manned a float, and the Central Middle School marching band and DHS alumni cheerleaders kept spirits high throughout the parade.
