The public is invited on a first-come, first-served basis to hear U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell speak at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Wesley College.

Delaware’s Republican Senatorial candidate Christine O’Donnell will present to students and the local community at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Wesley College, Dover. The presentation is sponsored by the Student Government Association and will take place on the first floor of Slaybaugh Hall in Wells Theater.

The local community is invited to attend the free presentation. Doors to Slaybaugh Hall will open at 6 p.m., and tickets will be available on-site on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cameras, cell phones, and video recorders are not permitted. Public may park in Lot A, the Faculty/Staff parking lot on campus, that is located at the intersection of Bradford and Fulton streets.

“The Student Government Association is thrilled to bring Candidate O’Donnell to campus in the heart of Dover, Del. Our goal is to bring political awareness to Wesley College, especially in such a thrilling time during the 2010 mid-term election,” said Student Government Association President Tanner Polce.
“O’Donnell’s arrival is not only exciting, but a great learning experience for our student body, faculty, and staff.”

O’Donnell is a political commentator and marketing consultant. During her 20-year career, she has served as a social advocate in Washington, D.C. and participated in White House and Capitol Hill strategy meetings. O’Donnell defeated Mike Castle in the Delaware GOP Senate race. Recently, O’Donnell has been criticized for exuding negativity during her national debate versus Chris Coons at the University of Delaware. She has also been featured on various news programs, talk shows, and Saturday Night Live.
