Dover Police arrested two men in connection with a string of local burglaries committed late Friday, Oct. 15, and early Saturday, Oct. 16.

Derrell Tyson, 21, of Dover, and Timmothy Garland, 19, of Smyrna, allegedly burglarized and robbed Creative Nails Salon on Townsend Boulevard, Hollywood Tans on North DuPont Highway, and Viet Kieu Restaurant on Jefferic Boulevard.

Lt. Robert Scott said officers responding to the complaint spotted Tyson and Garland fleeing and arrested them with the assistance of a canine unit.

Tyson was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, conspiracy and resisting arrest and was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $1,850 secured bond.

Garland faces similar charges and is being held on a $1,950 secured bond.
