A Dover man has been captured and a Magnolia man identified as his accomplice in a Sept. 2 robbery and assault that took place in Magnolia.
Delaware State Police detectives have arrested a Dover man in connection with a Sept. 2 robbery and assault in Magnolia.
Walter A. Bunting Jr., 29, of Kesselring Drive, was taken into custody Sept. 27, said police spokesman Master Cpl. Bruce W. Harris.
Detectives have obtained arrest warrants for Bunting’s alleged accomplice, identified as Andre W. Woods, 28, also of Magnolia.
The crime occurred on Bay Hill Lane when two men were assaulted and robbed, Harris said. The robbers tried but failed to take a purse from a woman who was waiting in a car for the victims, Harris said.
Bunting was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree attempted robbery, second-degree conspiracy and offensive touching.
He was jailed at the Vaughn Correctional Center near Smyrna, in default of a $13,500 secured bond.
The second suspect, Woods, is described as a black man standing 6 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 270 pounds.
