Ron Egger 67, of Camden, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010.


Friends of the late Ron Egger, 67, of Camden, may call on the family at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where services will be held at 11 a.m.

Mr. Egger died with his wife at his side Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.

Born Nov. 28, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of the late Maurice and Clara Engel Egger.

Mr. Egger was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country during the Vietnam War. He had worked as a self-employed computer consultant for 15 years.

He loved to travel, especially to Mexico. He enjoyed entertaining and cooking for his friends, trivia and building furniture. He also was an avid University of Cincinnati Bearcats fan.

Mr. Egger is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Jeanne Egger, a son, Brian Egger of Chicago, Ill.; a stepson, Gabriel Percich of Hartly; three sisters, Jackie Egger of Chicago, Pam Jenkins of Loveland, Ohio and Debbie Johnson of Sharonville, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Mary Grace Horner of Racine, Wis.; his mother-in-law, Estelle Laroche of Allenstown, N.H.; a sister-in-law, Pauline Laroche of Allenstown; his two faithful companions, Charlee and Oliver; and several nieces and nephews.

The family thanks the staff at Christiana Care, Bayhealth-Kent General and Pinnacle Rehabilitative Services for the wonderful care they gave Mr. Egger during his time there.

Interment will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
