Robert Irvin Kyle, 92, of Magnolia, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at home, with his family present.
Born Oct. 5, 1917, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Robert and Catherine MacLean Kyle.
Self-employed, Mr. Kyle had been an oil contractor in the Philadelphia area.
He was a Mason and Shriner with the Hamby Lodge in Springfield, Pa., and a member of the Nur Temple Yacht Club.
Mr. Kyle was preceded in death by his first wife of 62 years Charlotte Kyle; and his son, David Robert Kyle.
Mr. Kyle is survived by his wife of seven years, Elizabeth L. Kyle of Magnolia; a daughter, Roberta “Bobbie” Kyle Coley of Magnolia; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be announced at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Trader Funeral Home, Dover.
