Gerry A. Johnson, 52, of Robbinsville, N.J., formerly of Dover, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at RWJ University Hospital, Hamilton Square, N.J.
Born Dec. 27, 1957, in Painter, Va., he was the son of Ina Johnson, now of Dover, and the late Arthur P. Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a 1977 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School, and a 20-year resident of Mercer County, N.J. He had worked at Princeton University.
He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 35 years and a faithful, dedicated servant of Jehovah God. He was a man full of wisdom, understanding and compassion, and was very approachable and loved by all.
Mr. Johnson enjoyed all sports and was a huge fan of the LA Lakers and Washington Redskins. He also enjoyed cooking and loved music.
In addition to his father, he also was preceded in death by a brother, Otis A. Johnson.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 20 years, Claudette M. Johnson; two daughters, Tiffanie and Malaree; his mother-in-law, Louise E. Campbell; his brothers, sisters and in-laws, Marty and Winna Johnson, Donna Johnson, Regina Reed, Faye and Herbert Cooper and Nina and Gary Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to thank all of the friends and neighbors and their extended family in their faith for their loving cards and comforting expressions of love.
